Member Monday - Featuring: Catherine Doyle!
Meet... Catherine “Cathy J” Doyle
All things Cape Harmony!
Q: What made you come back to Cape Harmony for a second summer?
A: “I think Cape Harmony is unique in the way that every summer you experience new things. After one summer, I kinda have my bearings and have the ability to take on more responsibility in the business which is really rewarding.”
Q: What were your goals for the group going into this summer? A: “My goals for this summer were to make great friends with the new members as well as immerse myself in the business practices of Cape Harmony.”
Q: When you’re not at the Cape Harmony house, where is your favorite place to be on the Cape?
A: “Well my family has a house in Falmouth in Great Harbors, and when I’m not with Cape Harmony I love spending time there hanging out, having barbecues, and going to the beach.”
Q: How do you feel about this being your last summer?
A: “I feel really bad about it, stop asking!”
Q: What skills have you gained from being a part of Cape Harmony?
A: “I think that I have gained the ability to work extremely well with many different types of people. I have also learned just how important it is to present yourself in a professional and kind manor to everyone that you meet.”
More about Catherine!
Q: Who cheers you up the most when you’re feeling down?
A: “My dad cheers me up the most when I’m down because no matter what is wrong, I know that he will always be there for me. And that makes me feel really great.”
Q: Do you prefer sweet or salty food more?
A: “I prefer sweet food. I have such a chocolate addiction. But, there's not much that beats the combination of sweet and salty.”
Q: If you had to choose one sense to give up, which one would be?
A: “I think I would have to give up my eyesight just because I don't think I could not hear music or not smell food, taste food or go in the ocean and not feel the water.”
Q: What color is the front door on your dream house?
A: “I love a statement door, so I would have to go with either red or aged wood. Depending on the type of house.”
Q: As a child, what was your dream job?
A: “I wanted to be a psychiatrist for a while, I don't really know what spurred that decision but I quickly learned that you had to go to school for a very long time, and I will not be doing that.
Q: If you could master one skill that you don’t already have, what would it be?
A: “I would love to be able to craft. I don't know if that is considered a skill but I am the most unartistic person you will ever meet.”
Q: How would your ‘perfect day’ go?
A: “Okay. I would leisurely wake up with no alarm at roughly 10:00am, then I would get a quick breakfast sandwich, head to the beach, spend the day there, go to dinner with my family, and then spend the evening with my friends hanging out!”
Q: What is your definition of a family? A: “Wow. That is deep man. Well I consider family to be the people that will always have my back and can always be brutally honest with me even when I don't want to hear it.”
Q: If you could bring one fictional character to life, who would it be?
A: “Definitely Flynn Rider, he is the most attractive cartoon prince I have ever seen. And I think the world would benefit greatly from having him in it.”
Q: What is the best live performance you have ever been to?
A: “When I was a senior in high school me and my friend went to see Pink, and she is the most amazing performer. She flew over us at one point and I think I almost cried.”
